You have reached the main page of the all new, incredibly nifty, and just downright zany BESM fantasy campaign world known as Lathuria. Here, you will find all the information you and your gaming group needs to get started playing a fantasy comedy game in the Revised Second Edition of BESM. Places, faces, and races, they're all here and ready for you to delve into. Whether you're looking for a setting to play a quick one-shot or a fully immersing setting for a prolonged campaign, you'll find it here!
Spellweavers is designed to be a dynamic game setting that will change as the years go on. An on-going story line will exist for the setting as a whole, involving the creator's NPCs and many of the setting locales. Whether or not you and your group choose to include them in your games is entirely up to you. The current plan is to advance the story line one year for every two years that passes in the real world, so check back every now and then to see what new happenings might be going on.
Spellweavers is also designed to be a fantasy/comedy setting in the same vein as Anime such as Slayers, Louie the Rune Soldier, Ruin Explorers, and such. Much of the information may at times seem overly serious with this in mind, but there are several NPCs and situations that will lend itself well to the comedy aspect. But, again, it's up to you and your group to determine how much fantasy and how much comedy to include.
Always remember the number one rule of RPGs; if you don't like it, change it. No rule is so sacrosanct that it cannot be changed.
Finally, the world creator is usually a pretty nice person, once you get to know her. She's happy to answer almost any questions you might have about Spellweavers. All you have to do is drop her an e-mail at berzerker_prime (at) hotmail (dot) com. Also, this site is still and likely will be perpetually in a state of construction, so be sure to watch the News section. Pages with the asterix (*) next to it have new stuff.
